Comments are praise from people who enjoyed your work and were kind enough to put it into words. I should honestly be better about replying to my own, because I truly do appreciate it.
I believe faves are a compliment of their own. Sometimes, it's difficult to find the words to describe just how you feel about an image. I understand. I struggle with that often. It can be intimidating, trying to express yourself well in the presence of someone you admire or even just a stranger in general.
What I do not tolerate, however, is when the artists insults a commenter, just because that particular comment doesn't "meet their standards". It's outright rude. I don't care if it was an obvious question or just a simple "I like this". They are COMPLIMENTING you and sometimes, even looking to you for advice. There is absolutely no excuse to behave like a prick. Comments can be few and far in between. I enjoy them, regardless of content. >
Nuff said.
